Property owner reviews final draft of Hercules pressure zone ordinance approved Thursday by the Overpressure Zone WEST VALLEY. There is now, officially, a Hercules overpressure zone ordinance. The City Council summed up a lengthy period of meetings Thursday when it unanimously approved an ordinance which sets forth special building regulations for residential construction around Hercules. But while the ordinance established fairly lenient construction requirements, the council also put developers on notice that the city wants homes with large lots to be built there. The board uniformly supported a call by Councilman Claude Jones, whose district includes the overpressure zone area, to create a policy requiring that lots no smaller than one acre be allowed in the southwest corner of the city. The policy will not apply to existing zoning (there are sections where smaller lots are permitted) but will affect large chunks of property that is still zoned agricultural 969-484- Those dont wants around your house are probably do wants for someone else.
