Increased parent involvement, and & new physical fitness plan are two goals cited in the organi - &S&40r '&' ' zations efforts to keep things simple and enjoyable for Doxey students. First Weeks North Layton Students Busy Terre Bjerregaard School Correspondent The first weeks LAYTON at North Layton Junior High have been busy ones. The 1983-8- 4 theme was presented in a Hello Assembly Friday and new teachers, students, seventh graders and new vice principal were introduced. J. Wayne Baker, North Lay-tonew vice principal, was born in Nevada, then moved to Layton where he was raised. He attended Weber State College ns and received a bachelors degree, He earned a masters degree at Brigham Young University. He has worked in Davis District for 1,3 years, first as a teacher at Woods Cross High School and then as a coach. This will be his first year as an administrator. New teachers at the school are Scott Jeffries, music; Richard Firmage, wood shop; Ron Zim-- . merman, math; Debbie Robbins, English; Joan Hanson, English; James Salazar, geography and gym, and Sandra Welsey, re-- - source. Tryouts for volleyball and A ninth grade student, , The HuttOIl Seminar on AT&T wrestling are under way directed by coaches, Laura Motley, Paul Murray and James Salazar.
