Think snow is the favorite slogan of these people. For those with the ski bug, a few places in the county offer a full line of equipment and clothing. The ne,w Wolfes and Pedersons Sports in the Layton Hills Mall are two of those. The ski department at Wolfes in the Layton Hills Mall is anticipating a good year during the. season as its first winter in the mall promises to be a big one. ' Wolfes is a good selection of Imerchandise and several new' products to draw the novice and .advanced skiers into the store. So far, people here have been . interested in quality stuff," says Marilyn Miller; ski department manager. We carry high quality merchandise and people are demanding more expensive equipment. Turner estimates the ski department will account for about 0 percent of the stores total sales in the wintertime. He said the proximity of the mall to the freeway and convenience for area ski buyers were impor35-4- tant considerations in locating, the store here. Next year, we will have more of everything, he said. Wolfes did their ski buying earlier this year before they decided to open this store. Next year, theyll be buying directly for us and will take into consideration this years sales. A few new items which store officials hope will be hot items among dot customers the shelves. Since this is the first winter ' season of the new store, Wolfes management will be watching sales figures closely to see how the county market is. Business will start picking up around the end of October when the weather starts getting cooler, Ms. Miller said. As soon as it snows, we should be hit hard again.
