But they made a safe landing and the families greatly enjoyed their safe, though unsettled journey home to In Time for Rush Veda Peterson is being about one of the busiest people in our community. She took up the duties of postmaster just in time to get in on the rush of Christmas mail. Im afraid many of us will be stopping from force of habit in front of the Earl home to mail letters for awhile! They deserve thanks and appreciation for the many years they spent taking care of postal duties for our community. Many of us are looking at Smackin Spackman in a new vein of light following the Elders Three Ring Circus party Saturday evening! How that little tiny lady consumed a third of a chocolate pie in such a brief time truly astounded us! She was followed by a close second from Chow Gal Wheatley, who admitted she inhaled it so fast she didnt even realize it was chocolate! Fruity Trudy Thompson, Dinner Doll Burbank, and Chicken Delight Fryer managed to come in much later and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious pie. Bigger Burger Bill Bingham ate steadily and consumed better than two pies to be declared winner over Lunch Mouth Litchford, Cookie Monster Thompson and Big Bite White. Something tells me these guys didnt ask for dessert following Sunday dinner! The party was a huge success, well attended and everyone was empressed with the clever circus decorations. Clown Costumes Margo Goring and Arlene Bingham were really done up even more fun, two really female clowns did strange some songs and an act that was good for a lot of laughs.
