A social Tremonton Tales league convenes ; LDS groups hold party Civic by Flo Munson The Tremonton Womens Civic league met at the senior center Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Bonnie Sue Grover and Mrs. Dona Fronk as Mrs. Dawn Ficklin conducted a short business meeting prior to the program. Karen Buck and Debbie Hirschi favored with a piano duet. Margaret Palmer read a story entitled The Other Wise Man. Debbie Hirschi also played a piano solo. A light luncheon was served. The Christmas party will be held in the Elwood Ward building Dec. 18 and will be catered by the Elwood Relief soceity. The Special Interest groups from Malad, Garland and Tremonton met at the Elwood Ward building for their Christmas party hosted by the Tremonton Stake. Table decorations were under the direction of Mrs. Beth Cutler. A program was enjoyed. A delicious steak dinner was catered by the Elwood Relief society. Prizes were given. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Woodruff and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford John visited Mr. and Mrs. Heber Lundberg in Logan and Mrs. Charlet Gibby in Mendon Tuesday. Mrs. Grace Hales visited her sister Mrs. Hazel Allen in Perry Sunday. She also visited her, brother-in-laDavid Allen who is receiving medical care in the Cooley hospital. Mrs. Rhea Cravins left this week to make her home in Salt Lake City to be near to her children. w Fun Club Meets The Tremonton-GarlanFun club met at the home of Mrs. Thelma Hall Thursday evening. Following a delicious luncheon the group enjoyed various kinds of handiwork and a social. Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Lesa Austin) Auger of Brigham City had their small daughter blessed in Sacrament meeting in the Tremonton Sixth Ward Sunday. She was blessed by her grandfather Hyrum Auger of Tremonton and given the name of Tabitha Auger. Following the meeting a dinner party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Auger and family. Guests included Mrs. Mabel Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Buist and family of Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Auger and daughter of Brigham City. - store for local seniors in will Monday, Dec. 15, is birthday luncheon party time for all the Sagitarians at the senior center. There will be prizes and party fare. The cost is 50 cents for this specially arranged afternoon. Call in for a table reservation. The lounge will hold 14 tables, Mrs. Kaiser said. Pool is played each day at the center with three tables available. Once a month a tournament is scheduled to compete for Champ of the Month. Entry fee is $1 with free luncheon if enough players sign up with Mish Petersen. Stop by to see the table which has been renovated and is considered the quality table on which everyone wants to play. It was a gift from the Carpenters Union. Membership is free to the center. A goal of 1,000 members has been set. Some 850 participate in various activities. Come by for your free membership card, the director stated. The Christmas dinner has been set for Dec. 19. Door prizes will be included for this special chick- e en, fruit salad, potatoes and gravy, blanche mange with whipped cream, coffee and punch and hot rolls. Party Bingo-Danc- e Thursday night, Dec. 11, 8 p.m. is the social bingo-danc- e party, putluck, bingo for non dancers, singles, and taped music for the dancers. This will be the Christmas social, with Lowell and Sally Walters presenting the music. Lega and Ellis Crowther and Ruby and Jack Hunsaker are on the committee planning the party.
