Show Lake View school Utah Thursday, December 11, 1975 BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Kids pick gifts I 23 I at Yule bazaar Moms' and dads of kids attending Lake View school might not receive the biggest, most expensive gifts for Christmas, but theyll be ones, for the most part, selected and purchased solely by their offspring. The students had a chance to do their own Christmas shopping last Saturday at a junior bazaar in the schools multipurpose room. The schools PTA sponsored the event and with the help of room mothers,-lineup a large quantity of new and good used items donated by parents. Items were priced at a nickle to a quarter each and the d bazaar opened like an Oklahoma land rush as the kindergarten through sixth graders meticulously shopped around to choose the "just right things for their parents. "We wanted the children to be able to do their shopping reasonably this year, said bazaar chairman Marie Locklin. The project began early in November and the PTA relied heavily on the room mothers to call other mothers to line up the items, she said. The student response was excellent, as the bare tables and bulging packages tucked under small arms attested.
