Show Public invited JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Thursday, December 11,1 9 75 4 BOX ELDER Palace Playhouse rates $ 1,000 grant Arts, crafts show on tap at Intermountain The first semester arts and show of Intermountain Inter-Tribschool will be held on the Intermountain campus Dec. 12 and 13. The craft displays will be set up in Building 81. On Friday, the displays will be open from 2 until 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. There is no admission charge for the show. crafts Featured in the various displays will be the art work and crafts created by Intermountain students in their classes and various hobby activities. This is the second year such a display has been presented for the public. Palace Playhouse in Brigham City has been selected to receive a $1,000 grant from the Utah Division of Fine Arts to aid in the summer program. This past summer, Dr. Tibbets, chairman of the theatre division, visited the Playhouses production of Annie Get Your Gun. He was sufficiently impressed with the Palace to recommend the grant of $1,000. Mrs. Fontel Messervy and R. Nelson, 37, of Bear River City, has been named chief of the Examination Branch of the Ogden Internal Revenue Service center. In making the announcement today, Center Director John O. Hummel noted that Nelson will fill the vacancy created by the recent reassignment of H. Bud Eager as the new service center disclosure officer. Nelson, a native of Brigham City, began his federal career with the Internal Revenue Service in Ogden as tabulating machine operator in 1959. He has held several positions of increasing responsibility in the confputer programming and tion and coding of all tax documents, including tax returns, before they are processed by the centers computer systems. Approximately 15,000,000 tax documents are processed by the center annually, including 8.1 million individual income tax returns. Nelson graduated from Box Elder High school in 1956 and attended Utah State university in Logan. He is married to the former Miss Joylene Archibald of Bear River and they reside in Bear River with their three sons, Ricky, 10, Randy 8, and Ryan 3. management analyst fields.
