Stevens, who is coached by Tsumas professionally, is trying to be optimistic in the midst of some pressure to perform. "I know we've got a good team, and thats got me excited about coming to the U.," she said. "We've got Michelle and the rest of last year's team coining back, and we've got Ruth Ann joining the team, and we've got three walk-o- n players that will really help out, lsumas said. Ruth Ann Stevens, one of the best' young tennis talents in Utah, will join the Lady Utes as a freshman this year. The third factor, believe it or not, is an extremely tough schedule that calls for the team to face 15 of the nation's top 25 teams. " . Coach John Tsumas remains optimistic about all three. He is especially excited ' about the tough schedule. "The reason I set the tough schedule is because we have a tough team," Tsumas said. 1 believe that if we can knock off a few of those teams we can get into the top 25 in the nation.
