The Pie serves pizza and smoky ambience. The University Pharmacy has a little lunch counter and serves great specialty sandwiches. (The ice cream shakes are divine!) Of course, if you're limited on time and funds (and, some will say, good taste), you can always go to the Union Building and eat at the Terrace. The Terrace serves a variety of food from pasta to salads to Mexican and Chinese dishes. The prices seem reasonable. The Union Deli, downstairs from the Terrace, has its own variety of fast foods. The prices are reasonable, and the food is pretty good. The best place to get lunch at the absolutely cheapest price is from your own kitchen. You would be surprised at the gourmet feasts you can come up with out of your own refrigerator. You can pack a dazzling tailgate picnic or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Grab an icy Coke at the Terrace or from a vending machine, and you're all set. I hear that Roger Rabbit is the hottest lunchbox going.
