Show Wednesday, February 12, 1997 The Park Record B-3 PCST finishes Park City skiers finished in 1st place in seven out of eight age classes at the Youth Ski League slalom races held at Brighton Saturday, Feb. 8. Finishing at the top of their age classes were Ashley Alfieri, Jesse Friedman, Nic Skordas, and Nathan Becker from the Park City Development Team; Whitney Watts and Sarah Lyman from the Park City Farm Team and Ryan Simons from Wolf Mountain. Andrew Newcomb, Dillion Keate, Brian Miller, David Gentner. and coach Chris Lindsey all traveled to Calgary, Alberta for the Canadian National Championships Jan. 25 and 26. Jenny Brown finished 1st in the female amateur class followed by Kelly Lovell and Jennifer Niehaus. Jess Sluder won the men's amateur group (14-17) followed by Riley Sluder and Chris Stonebraker. In the men's amateur 1 3-year-old and younger, Cody Campbell took 1 st followed fol-lowed by Jensen Moon, Karsen Moon and Casey Nelson. In the 25-and-older men's amateur, Scott McLarin took 1st followed by Ivan Velo and Kris Skelton. Jason Brown won the men's pro class followed by Blue Montgomery and Cory Smith.
