Show Wednesday, February 12, 1997 A-4 The Park Record Pet of the Week EVANSTON WYOMING FEBRUARY 14-15 This week, the Summit County Animal Shelter is trying to find homes for a number of animals, including a long-haired black cat. who is certain would make a great best friend. Other animals available for adoption from the shelter include: two border collie puppies: two cock-apoo cock-apoo puppies; four lab mix puppies: and a very nice adult border collie. In the cat department, the shelter has a lovely calico, a very sweet black and white cat. a long-haired tabby, and four black cats. The shelter is located three miles east of Wanship on Hoytsville Road. Shelter hours are Monday thru Friday from 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., or call 649-5449 for more information. Volunteers from the Summit County Friends of Animals have the following abandoned animals in foster fos-ter care: "Snoop," a cream and tan. 18-month-old female Staffordshire terrier, who is spayed, has current shots, and is house-trained; "Quiona." a two-year-old Siberian huskymalamute cross, neutered male, who is house-trained: "Eddie." a five and a half month old. male, mixed breed cream and tan puppv; a black labchow cross female puppy who is three months old: three doberman mixAustralian shepherd cross puppies who are three-months-old: a one-year-old. female, sheltie cross female; "Waldo," a male, two-year-old German shepherd who is housetrained, house-trained, neutered, and has one floppy flop-py ear. ' Cats available for adoption from the Friends include: "Sweetheart," a four-year-old, black and white domestic long-hair spayed female. A three-and-a-half-month-old Siamese male cross kitten; and a four-year-old, female, short-haired tabby. When officers received the report, the owner of the car was contacted, who said the area from which his car had been towed did not have any no parking signs, so he decided to just get his car out of the towing lot himself. him-self. The officer advised the car's owner of the street parking ordinance ordi-nance forbidding parking in that location, and told the garage operator opera-tor that the man would be charged with theft if the towing fee is not paid.
