The afternoon classes raced on the upper reaches of Clementine, one of the new runs cut last summer as part of the area's new racing-only venue. Money is raised by airline employees attending the North American Airline Ski Federation events each year. Funds are administered by the Foundation of the same organization. Robert A. Powers, a longtime Park City resident, was the founding president and was influential in , establishing the foundation. The foundation and federation, with the help of sponsors such as the Park City Ski Area and Right Fit Sports, makes the scholarship, for which competition is national with emphasis on the J-III and J-IV racers, possible.
