Show Lady Darts lose, Vikes upset Lakers By DIRK FACER Sports Editor KAYSVILLE Some deficits are just too big to handle. While President Bush would certainly a :e, so too, would Davis' Lady Darts. After falling behind region-leading region-leading Layton by as many as 19 points, Davis was unable to recover and dropped a 70-58- decision to the Lady Lancers. The Lady Darts managed to reduce the margin to eight late in the game, but it was simply too little, too late. "Not soon enough. They had a big lead on us, but our kids fought back," said Davis coach Chimane Creer. "They didn't give up and that's one thing I was pleased with." Another bright spot for Davis was the play of center Jodi Wimmer, who tallied 1 8 points. The loss drops Davis, which has a bye on Tuesday, to 3-3 in region play, while the powerful Lady Lancers improved to 6-0.
