Show Redevelopement to be considered . WEST BOUNTIFUL -- The newly organized West Bountiful Boun-tiful Redevelopment Agency (RDA) and Bountiful RDA are considering a joint redevelopment project on the boundary of the two cities. In a letter to Bountiful RDA, the West Bountiful RDA has asked its neighboring city to cooperate in the development of a portion of a 26-acre site west of U.S. Highway 89 and north of . 500 South. The letter states that 80 percent of the proposed property is located in West Bountiful and 20 percent is in Bountiful. ' No definite plans for future development of the site were announced, except to specify that the site probably would be developed into "commercial-retail businesses that would be beneficial to both communities and the entire south Davis County area." The letter from West Bountiful requests that; 1. South Davis Fire DepartmenLjp offer fire protection. 2. West Bountiful will provide police protection. 3. Bountiful will provide all power and street lighting services. ser-vices. , A, West Bountiful will provide culinary water service. " 5. South Davis Sewer District will collect sewage from the area. 6. Curb, gutter and sidewalk improvements will be the responsibility of the developers. 7. West Bountiful will provide inspections of buildings and utilities, unless Bountiful specifications are more strict. 8. Sales and use taxes will be divided, with West Bountiful receiving 75 percent, and Bountiful getting 25 percent 9. Property taxes and real tax revenue will be distributed to the cities based on the mill levies of the two communities. 10. All tax increment from trie rjiojea wiU be reimbursed -into the combined agency. |
