Show Organ recitals and choir broadcasts are favorites on Temple Square Proving popular with visitors to Temple Square this summer are the Sunday broadcasts of the renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the daily recitals on the celebrated great Tabernacle organ. Temple Square director Ralph O. Bradley says 55,778 visitors entered the Tabernacle during the month to watch the Choir perform or to attend at-tend the organ recitals. t "This number far exceeds any we've had during July in previous years," Bradley said. The Tabernacle Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings and the Sunday Sun-day broadcasts go on the air at 9:30 a:m., Bradley said. The doors close at 9:15 a.m. Organ recitals are offered Mondays Mon-days through Fridays at noon and 4 p.m., and at noon only on Saturdays and Sundays. The number of visitors on foreign-language tours was also up during July, Bradley said, citing the top four languages as German, 3,011 tours; Chinese, 1,225 tours; French, 1,084 tours and. Jewish (Hebrew language) 747 tours. |
