Show Reverend bids community farewell By REV. ERIC V. KAELBERER Pastor of . . t. ; Cross of Christ -,. k I-' I-' ( Lutheran Church Dear friends, this will be my last -article in the Clipper. In less than a month I will be leaving to pastor a new .church in California. Over the past couple of years mat the Clipper has so graciously given me the space to share a JLutheran perspective perspec-tive on scripture, , it has been my distinct honor to have met and talked talk-ed with many of you, I will always treasure those encounters. , ; Being the pastor of Cross of Christ has been the highest honor and privilege I have ever known. In my capacity as pastor to have shared the gospel with you, here in the Clipper, has been very special and a double honor. ; -. As I bid you a forid farewell, it is '.. ; with joy, knowing that as we have - shared in God's Word, He has blessed us and will continue to bless you through that same Word. .. , If I may offer one final word of encouragement from the Scriptures, let it be this: "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly" (Col-ossians3:16NIV) (Col-ossians3:16NIV) ;: , j-i If there is one thing that I hope -you have gained from reading my articles over these past couple of ' years, it is the insight that the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures, pro- -vide us with the certainty that Christ Jesus is faithful in His love toward ' us, having died to freely and fully forgive us our sins. His Word, the Bible, provides us with the certainty , . and full assurance that His gift was , and is more than we need to live.. Therefore, dear friends, it is my fervent fer-vent prayer that you will indeed let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, that it may guide and comfort com-fort you folly. -r-V May the God of the Word richly bless you as you continue to seek -; Him. All my love to you.' Pastor Eric. Amen! , " |
