Show Charlotte. Hammer Singley Charlotte Hammer Singley passed pass-ed away May 7, 1989 in Bountiful at the age of 89. She was born Aug. 9, 1899 to John Jasper and Sarah Ann Bardett Hammer. She married William Carson Singley Oct 5, 1921 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She attended Idaho Falls High School and graduated from Weber State College in Ogden, where she excelled in musk and acting. Talented Tal-ented in the arts, she has had many poems published, has painted and sold many landscape oil paintings and participated all her life in music as a vocal soloist and in singing groups. She was active in the LDS Church, and began teaching at 14 years of age, spending 13 years in Primary work. She served as president presi-dent of both Primary and MIA and in the presidency of Relief Society. She served two five-year missions - with her husband and family in Palmyra, New York, five years at the Cumorah Farm and five years at the Joseph Smith Home. She was a temple worker at the : Mesa and Idaho Falls Temples. . She was active in civic affairs, as president of Davis County Farm Bureau and the South Davis County Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and assistant first vice captain in the Mary Flint Call Cap. She served as family genealogist, assembling over 10,000 names that have been mkrofilmed in the Salt Lake Genealogical Gene-alogical Library. With her husband was was owner, operator of Singley's Curve Inn during and after World War II. She has traveled extensively, many times across the US and traveled in Europe with the Tabernacle Choir. j She has lived in Amnion, Ida.; I Palmyra, New York; Phoenix and Mesa, Anz. and Bountiful .. Her husband preceded her in death, and she is survived by four sons and one daughter, Bryce M., Ferrin L., Mrs. Melvin (Carma) Crosby, all of Bountiful; Lynn R., Farmington; Ariel J.. Sacramento, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; 46 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; also one sister, Detta Peterson, Ogden. , Funeral services will be held Friday, Fri-day, May 12 at Lindquist's Boun-. tiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E, at 11 ajn.
