Show G. Farnsworth LAYTON Glenn LeRoy Farnsworth, 86, of 1856 N. Alder, died April 28, 1988 at his home of causes incident to age. He was born Dec. 31, 1901 in Elsinore, a son of Edward and Elizabeth Eli-zabeth Munson Farnsworth. He married Lillie Bostrom Oct. 10, 1930, in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1933. She died June 29, 1958. He married Helen Hancock Sept. 15, 1962 in the Manti LDS Temple. He had lived in Eugene, Ore., Kanab, Salt Lake City, Charleston, Charles-ton, Elsinore and in Layton the past 24 years. He was owner and operator of the Excelsor Mill in Charleston, Utah. He retired from Hill AFB in August, 1967, after 18 years of service. ser-vice. He was a member of the LDS Church where he had served as Sunday School superintendent, ward clerk and High Priest group leader. Surviving are his widow of Layton, one son and two daughters, daugh-ters, Eldon L. Farnsworth, South Salt Lake City, Mrs. Jan (Marilyn) DeWolf, Bountiful; Mrs. Joanne Milich, West Valley City; 10 grandchildren grand-children and 21 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Newell (Edith) Clark, Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, one great-grandchild, six brothers and two sisters. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. Bishop Kent Rampton officiated at funeral services April 30. Family prayer was offered by Eldon L. Farnsworth; prelude, Janice Steed; "In My Father's House are Many Mansions" by Jan DeWolf, accompanied by Sherry Allen; invocation, Eldon L. Farnsworth Farns-worth Jr.; speaker, Bishop Kent Rampton; "Into Thy Hands" by Peggy Brown, Mary and Kristin Farnsworth, accompanied by Sherry Allen; speaker, Bishop Hubert Fluckiger; "Good Night and Good Morning" by Jan De-Wolf De-Wolf accompanied by Sherry Allen; benediction, Philip Brown. Dedication of the grave was by Newell Clark with interment in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Eldon L. Farnsworth Farn-sworth Jr., Thomas Farnsworth, Ronald G. Farnsworth, Kent Stewart, Ste-wart, Philip Brown, David Brown, Max Crouch, Duvid Simmons and Richard Milich. |
