'"w " M ft III ill 9S 'i I ; - e 'f i Participants in the first Layton Senior Citizens' Talent Show donned cowboy hats and I western scarves for a special novelty number. i 'Old' fashioned entertainment j By DONETA GATHERUM LAYTON The first Layton Senior Citizens' Talent Show was held last Tuesday after the weekly ' luncheon at the Layton Senior Citizens Center. The receptive audience laughed, clapped and cheered as the 26 talented seniors performed Hawaiian dances, vocal duets, humorous readings, guitar solos and choral numbers. Mistress of ceremonies was Almira Pitt, disguised as Dolly Parton. The program was produced by Shirley Lynch, director of senior citizen programs for Layton. Musical direction, arrangement and accompaniment was handled by Mary Barber, Lee Johnson, Loretta Johnson and Naome Fletcher. The seniors have been practicing about six weeks to perfect their talent ta-lent numbers, i Many family members attend the program to watch their parents and grandparents perform. |
