Show Brave Rave soccer and region baseball play- offs. Good luck to both groups. Starting on Wednesday and continuing con-tinuing until Saturday, the speech and debate classes will be presenting present-ing "Fish Kiss." This children's theatre production is a collection of Dr. Seuss stories that would be delightful de-lightful entertainment for anyone in the 1 to 100 years of age group. Tickets are available from any speech student at a cost of $1. Once again the time has come when I must leave you, but don't worry. I'll be back. I'll always be back. By MATT REED Believe it or not, the time we can spend together each week is quickly quick-ly drawing to an end. I just looked in my calendar and it seems I have only four more Raves to write. Don't ask me why I was looking at my calendar and noticed that, and please don't question the fact I told you about it. It's a very trying experience ex-perience for me to think up ways to start this article every seven days. Now, on to a brief but informative informa-tive schedule of events for the students stu-dents of Bountiful High during the week of May 11 through May 18. We begin with today (which just happens to be the 1 1th of May) where looking again at the by-now infamous calendar we see that nothing no-thing is planned. So, to occupy your mind I will tell you about an amazing group at our school that is finally getting some of the rewards they deserve. The marching band is reaching new peaks of excellence every day at Bountiful, and we're all very proud of them. At the Six Flags Music Festival which they attended a few weeks ago, the group received first runner-up in a competition that included schools from as far away as Florida. The members of the band traveled to California to attend this competition, and we commend them on their fine rating. Being the busy-bees they are, the group returned re-turned to Utah and competed in the Regional Band Festival and U. of U. Band Festival on April 27 and April 30, respectively. They did very well in both places, and got a I rating at the U. The band will be joining with the choral department for a final concert on May 16, to be held at Symphony Hall. I must apologize to the track team, for the dates that I put in the article last week. The region track meet, that I reported as being held last Thursday and Friday had actually been moved to this Thurs- Uday and Friday, and I didn't know about it. The new dates for this meet are May 12 and 13, and it will still be an exciting event to attend. Going now to Friday, you have the chance to go to a soccer game, a baseball game, or the state tennis tournament. The soccer team meets Woods Cross at Bountiful, and the baseball team travels away to also meet the Wildcats. May 14 will be the date of the Senior Banquet, to be held at Little America Hotel, with a dance afterwards. after-wards. Tickets are $18.50 and best church dress is requested. At the beginning of next week, as I mentioned before, is the final band and choral concert, to beheld at Symphony Hall. On the next day, Tuesday, is both the region |
