Show Previewof Destruction Race Battles Coming By JOHN CHARLES BERNHARDT Dr. Martin Luther King is dead. He died believing that a nonviolent end to this country's racial problems is possible. He was wrong. Thousands Thous-ands of black children suffering from malnutrition, untold horrors in our schools, and his very death, prove that beyond any doubt. Dr. King was a great man. He did much good without using violence. However, he failed to realize that nonviolence, like violence, has its limits. He failed to realize that basic and radical change in society cannot can-not come about without violence. Most of those now condemning the murder cf Dr. King are just as guilty of the crime as the man who pulled the trigger. After Dr. King is buried those white racists will go back to their racist ways and continue their daily slaughter and torture of black children. They feel anguish at Dr. King's death only because they know that other black leaders will lead the Negro people in retaliation not only for the death of Dr. King, but for all of the white power structure's racist activities past and present. Five Months Away The chances have now risen to at least 95 per cent that a revolution will come within the next five months. When the revolution comes the white racist power structure will be totally destroyed. The price will be millions of deaths on both sides. On the side of the black people many of those deaths will be children. They are least capable of protecting themselves from the white cops who will butcher them. The revolution ' will come in the following manner. Rioting in cities from coast to coast will become commonplace. At this point only 5 to 15 per cent of the black population will be involved in the disorders. Along with the rioting will come organized and widespread sabotage. Public buildings will cease to exist, schools will be burned, and other military action will be taken. The white power structure will soon reaize that to maintain the racist order drastic action must be taken. Two Alternatives It is at this point that the revolution will come. The white power structure will do one of two things. It will either order all non-white persons per-sons in the country exterminated or it will attempt to place them all in concentration camps. The first choice is at least a 98 pere cent probability. When this decision is made the revolution will come. That revolution will be successful. I wish I could say that there was a way to avoid war. There is not. The unfortunate fact is that most white parents will see their children dead: in the streets before they will allow integrated schools and human equality. The best thing for non-white Americans and their white allies to do is to prepare for the revolution. Retaliation must come when police forces like those in Selma begin to march black children out of their elementary school classrooms and machine gun them. Retaliation will come. Before the revolution is over every racist cop in the country will be dead. Think America, think. |
