Show 'Health' Topic Of Lecture Dr. Austin Smith, chairman of the Board of Directors and President Presi-dent of Parke-Davis & Company pharmaceuticals will discuss "Health and the Health Professions in a Changing Society" on April 10 in Skaggs Hall auditorium. The noon lecture is free and open to the public. Dr. Smith's address is the first Edward Hicks Memorial Letcure, which features a program recently established by Lever Brothers Company Com-pany for special lectures by leading lead-ing educators and authorities in professional pharmacy. It -honors Mr. Hicks, a former Lever Brothers Broth-ers vice president The University is among 12 universities selected to receive the first annual grants. Executive Background Dr. Smith became vice-chairman of the Parke-Davis & Company Board of Directors in 1966. A year later he was elevated to the post of chairman of the board and chief executive officer. He became ; president in January 1968. : |
