Show Regents Name New Budget Director I : :! ! " - J V "-uriaartiTiri ifri HT J ' The Board of Regents approved the appointment of University Bud-ri Bud-ri get Director Raymond L. Hixsom as executive director of the Divi- sion of Industrial Development and Research in the Center for Economic Eco-nomic and Community Develop- ment. Lecn Robertson will move up $ from his job as Assistant to Director to replace Hixon. i In his new position, effective April 15, "Mr. Hixson will direct the activities of the Engineering Experiment Ex-periment Station, Patent and Product Pro-duct Development, and will be particularly par-ticularly connerned with the commercial com-mercial potential of applied research re-search to Utah industry" according to L. Ralph Mecham vice president in charge of the Center. A graduate of West Coast University, Uni-versity, Mr. Hixson has an extensive exten-sive background in business, finance, fi-nance, management, and technical engineering. Before joining the University staff in 1966, Mr. Hixson served with the General Dynamics Corporation in Texas as financial manager. He was also president and general manager of the Arn-oux Arn-oux Corporation, an electronics firm in Culver City, California. He was formerly a staff accountant with Branagan and Southwick Company, a Salt Lake City CPA firm.
