Show BYU sets annual basketball clinic Nov. 15 Tennessee's Ray Mears, who is ranked second on the list of all-time winningest basketball coaches in the nation, will be special guest lecturer at BYU's seventh annual Basketball Clinic. Clin-ic. According to head coach Stan Watts, the clinic is scheduled sched-uled on campus for Saturday, November 15. The all-day workshop is designed for all members of the coaching fraternity, fra-ternity, especially those in the high school ranks. In addition to Mears, the clinic will feature Bennie Man-gus, Man-gus, former basketball coach at Bountiful High School, and Mack Wilkey, coach from the North Sanpete High School. Coach Watts said that the day will begin with registration registra-tion in the main lobby of the Wilkinson Center at 9:00 a.m. Dean Milton F. Hartvigsen will welcome the group, and Coach Mears will lecture from 10-12 that morning. All registrants will be guests of the University at lunch, and the afternoon session will feature fea-ture Mangus and Wilkey. The clinic members will also have an opportunity to watch the Cougar Varsity workout on the main floor of the Smith Field-house. |
