Show Helen Anderson Helen Anderson paid respects at funeral rites Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Springville Third-Ninth Ward for Helen Lasson Anderson, 54, outstanding outstand-ing school teacher and prominent promi-nent club woman, who died February 3, 1969 at the Utah Valley Hospital of cancer. Bishop Harold Whiting of the Third Ward officiated. Burial wa in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. She was born August 10, 1914, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter daugh-ter of A. A. and Mabel Sor-enson Sor-enson Lasson. She was married to G. Maurice Anderson and later divorced Active in the LDS Church, she was also a member of the Ladies Literary Club and the Phi Beta Phi. She was graduated gradu-ated from BYU and received a mater's degree in education Mrs. Anderson had taught from that university in 1959. school in the Nebo School district dis-trict and later pioneered the elementary counseling program in the district. Surviving are a son and a daughter, Vernon Lee Anderson of San Francisco, California; and Donna Anderson of Springville; Spring-ville; her mother, Mrs. Mabel Lasson of Birdseye, Utah; one grandson, Bryan Lee Anderson; and three sisters, Mrs. Del-Moine Del-Moine (Dorothy) Christensen of Springville; Mrs. Howard (Nellie) (Nel-lie) Barney of Birdseye; and Mrs. Floyd (Mauriine) Larsen of Grand Junction, Colo. |
