Show Penny drive underway for Primary Hospital funds Springville and MapJeton citizens cit-izens are encouraged to participate parti-cipate in the month-long penny drive ponsored annually by the Primary organization to raise money for the Primary Child- ren's Hospital in Salt Lake City. The drive is themed "to help sick children to live and help well children to give." All money every cent collected col-lected goes entirely to the Primary Children's Hospital which is run solely from contributions con-tributions and donations. The LDS Church, assists in many other ways but not by direct financial help. The hospital is designed not for LDfi alone, i but for any child in need of help and children have been flown to the hospital from all parts of the world The Penny Drive will continue con-tinue throughout the month of February Youth of the Second Ward along with their parents were honored at a banquet held in the ward cultural hall last Friday. Fri-day. Following the banquet a program pro-gram was held in the chapel. President Hal L. Taylor, former for-mer member of Kolob Stake presidency was the speaker. Awards for accomplishments during the year 1967-68 were presented to 24 girls, 11 boys and 5 leaders in the YWMIA. |
