Show Safe located; a'S money gone Springville police were notified noti-fied by Lenard Harward that he had discovered the missing ?afe stolen November 22 from the Art City Bowling Lanes Upon investigation, the police recovered the safe from a ditch near his farm some two miles west of the city on Center Street. The safe had been peeled, emptied of the money inside, and apparently thrown into the ditch near the farm. Manager of the firm, Marty Perrero, had estimated the safe contained between $1200 and $1300. Reportedly left in the safe were some checks and miscellaneous miscel-laneous papers, including notes and receipts. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Palfrey-man Palfrey-man spent Thanksgiving holidays holi-days with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ferguson of Tempe, Arizona. Lorraine Judd, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Clair Judd, and a friend Diane Smith, both of whom have completed schooling at the BYU and nursing at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., are spending a vacation here. Lorraine resides with Diane at the home of her parents, Attorney Attor-ney and Mrs. E. Stratford Smith of Arlington, Virginia They will return by jet December De-cember 33. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Brock-bank Brock-bank spent the Thanksgiving holiday at the home of their son and family, Dr. and Mrs Reed Brockbank in California. They returned with Dr. Brock-bank Brock-bank to Salt Lake City, where he held seminars at University of Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Brock-bank Brock-bank enjoyed visiting many places of interest in California including Santa Cruz State College where their granddaughter grand-daughter is attending. They also al-so attended stage shows and operas while there. Mr. and Mrs. Kichard Roth-well Roth-well of Leslie, Idaho, were Springville visitors during the week and were house guests of Mr .and Mrs. Clifford Cran-dayy. Cran-dayy. They came especially for the funeral of Mrs. Rothwell's half-sister, Nellie Burt. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hyer of Quincy, Washington, the former Marilyn CI egg, and four boys were Thanksgiving visitors visit-ors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Clegg and other relatives and friends here. |
