Show Dr. Marshall R. Craig accorded special honors by BYU students Marshall R. Craig, who recently re-cently completed his doctorate degree and is currently an assistant as-sistant professor of English at the BYU, was chosen Honors Professor of the Year at the annual honors banquet held last Wednesday night at the Y. In remembrance of Golding's "Lord of the Flies," a conch shell was presented to Dr. Craig as he accepted the honor hon-or before the hundred students assembled for the banquet. Three other professors have won the honors. The honor was awarded Dr. Craig by a choice made from among the 19 professors nominated nomi-nated by the 750 honors students stu-dents at BYU. probably go unrecognized. He told his students: "If sometimes I'm paid that compliment com-pliment by you, then I'll be satisfied. And you should know that for the rest of my life I'll be paying that kind of compliment to many of you." Dr. Craig's wife has been a teacher for the blind for many years and both he and his wife are currently assigned as manual man-ual writers for the general MIA board. The Craigs and their family, reside at 611 South Canyon Drive where they have made their home for a number of years. It was pointed out at the -presentation, that Dr. Craig is the master of the socratic method. Students in his classes have also praised Dr. Craig's interest in each of his students and his ability to lead discussions discus-sions without dominating.
