Show Happenings in Mapleton Mrs. Lois Graves Phone 489-6674 A Creative Arts Exhibit was held Tuesday evening for Mapleton Ma-pleton Third Ward. There were many displays showing the various var-ious talents of ward members. Mapleton First and Second wards held their annual Father's Fath-er's and Son's outing May 10 and 11 in Mapleton Canyon. These were held in different areas of the canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wis-combe Wis-combe and family were surprised sur-prised by a visit from Edward and Shirlene Wiscombe of Fort Carson, Colo., for Mother's Day weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Banks and Bertha Snipe from Bennington, Ben-nington, Idaho, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Banks over the weekend. Mr. Banks is presently serving as deputy sheriff of Bear Lake County. June Houtz and RaVae Allan. Mrs. Stone was retained as a counselor. A group of girls from Mapleton Ma-pleton were contestants for a talent show held at KSL TV Saturday afternoon. They were Sheryl Brown, Ann Howes, Karen Warren, Shauna Mason, Suzanne Sorenson, and Debra Peay. Myron Bennett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bennett was injured in-jured in an automobile accident Sunday evening. He was helping to tow a car from Tooele when the accident occurred. He was treated at the Utah Valley Hospital for cuts and bruises and released. The Mapleton Firemen Wives Auxiliary was held Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Mabel Paulson. Speaker for the evening was Adolph J. Feher, an accomplished pianist who is blind. Hostesses for the evening eve-ning were Mrs. Neola Stiener and Mrs. Mabel Paulson. There were ten present. Mapleton Third Ward Father's Fath-er's and Son's outing will be on May 17 and 18. There will be games and a program Friday Fri-day evening and breakfast will be served by the priesthood Saturday morning. Mapleton First Ward YW-MIA YW-MIA was reorganized Sunday evening with Mrs. Donna Brown, president; Sherri Stone and Roberta James, counselors. The retiring officers are, Mrs. |
