"I J ALL-STARS Springville Stake presented their Youth Basketball awards for the 1968 season at the Fathers and Sons Banquet held last Friday night in the stake house President Presi-dent Leo A. Crandall presented the awards to individuals and team members. All-stars included Gary Christensen, David Reed, John Montague, Tom Fox, Alex Cooksey, Wendell Hatch and Kenneth Mortensen. B"ll Child was awarded outstanding sportsmanship award. A special honorary award was presented to Wayne Cutler for excellency in the program. 1 j V V. Dee Hatch, recipient of "Outstanding Coach" Award for Springville Youth Basketball. Bas-ketball. Bill Child (not present pre-sent when picture was taken) received the "Outstanding Sportsman ship" Award. : , A- , ; - s ' f Alex Cooksey of the "Ram" Springville Youth Basketball, received the "Outstanding Player" Award for 1967-68 season. He lead his team to tlie league, stake and city championships. He scored 110 points averaging 18.3 points per game. He was a very cooperative co-operative coachable player. |
