Show Observance set for conservation Timpanogos Soil Conservation Conserva-tion District is joining with the other 3,000 districts throughout the U.S. in sponsoring sponsor-ing Soil Stewardship Week, May 19-26. Theme of the observance this year is, "A Time for Initiative." In-itiative." In announcing the observance, observ-ance, Niel Whiting, Mapleton, chairman of the Timpanogos boaro said, "This year is especially es-pecially a time for finding ways and taking action to use the soil, the water and other natural resources of our great country in the service of freedom free-dom and human dignity. District supervisors and the members of Timpanogos Ki-wanis Ki-wanis Club are distributing Soil Stewardship pamphlets to churches throughout the area. The pamphlets were prepared by Utah State Extension Services Ser-vices and the Soil Conservation Service from Information published pub-lished by the National Association Associ-ation of Soil Conservation Districts. Dis-tricts. All land users and occupiers are encouraged to become familiar fa-miliar with the importance of using soil and water resources wisely. |
