Show Eighth Ward presented trophy as stake M Men cage champs Eighth Ward won the Springville Stake M Men championship cham-pionship with a perfect 12-0 record after they won over Fifth last Thursday night 75 to 24. They play their opening tournament game Tuesday at 7:15 in the new high school gym. The battle for the second the building open for all games. Presentations Under the direction of Ronald Ron-ald Thorpe, assistant athletic supervisor presentations were made with Leonard Harris, stake MIA activity assistant, presenting the 8th Ward with their trophy. The coveted sportsmanship trophy went to the Fifth Ward, coached by Richard Thorpe. The presentation was made by Glen Christensen of the stake presidency. Ron Thorpe assisted by Ray Miller, made the indiv-ual indiv-ual award presentations for the outstanding players in the league for the season. These players included: Rolan Senior, Sen-ior, Allan Curtis, Red Taylor all of the Eigth Ward; Mike Olsen, Doug Bringhurst, Third Ward; Allan Mecham, Roe All-man, All-man, Tenth Ward; Richard Thorpe, Fifth Ward; Terry Killpack, Fourth Ward; Robert Liddiard, 13th Ward.
