Show Legion Auxiliary hears winners in essay event An interesting meeting of the Legion Auxiliary was held Wednesday evening of last week, at Memorial Hall, directed direc-ted by President Lela Nelson. A report on the legislative council meeting at Provo, was given by Minnie Groesbeck following fol-lowing the opening exercises. Music was by students from the junior high orchestra, directed di-rected by Harmon Hatch, who furnished three selections. The music program was arranged for by Julia Sumsion. Gladys Pennington, in charge of the Americanism essays, introduced in-troduced the winners and the essays were read. Trophies and certificates were then presented. present-ed. The program also included a 15-minute film entitled, "The Land We Love." Refreshments were served at the close of the evening by hostesses Mable Brown, Rebecca Re-becca Fullmer, Alta Olsen, Doris Gay, Vilate K. Reynolds. Mrs. Mack (JVanalee) Reynolds Rey-nolds Pace arrived by plane last week from her home in Brawley, Calif., to visit her mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Vilate K. Reynolds. Mrs. Reynolds is confined to Utah Valley Hospital with a fractured arm, suffered in a fall on the ice at her home and is scheduled to undergo surgery sur-gery as result of the injury. |
