Show Kirt Olson who is on the staff of the BYU with the Indian In-dian seminaries, was in charge of the Aztec Indian dancers who came from Mexico City for the Indian Pageant which was held at the BYU last week. He took the dancers to Salt Lake where they performed at the Cottonwood Mall several times, and other places in Salt Lake. They will make a TV film with Eugene Jelesnik which will be shown during the coming year. The Olson family attended several sev-eral of the shows. A number of friends of Mrs. Merilyn Tuttle had lunch together to-gether Thursday afternoon at a local cafe. The Tuttle family moved to California Friday. Those who were present were: Erma Hjorth, Alma Whiting, Helen Wiscombe, Joyce Whiting, Whit-ing, Mabel Hansen, Orpha Dee Johnson, Jean Hall, Virginia Hall and Glenna Burt. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hooper and two children of Long Beach, California, visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Pres-ton Hooper for a few days last week. They also visited in Ogden with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Drol-linger Drol-linger moved from Mapleton to Springville a few days ago. They moved into their new home which was just completed. complet-ed. All three Mapleton ward Primaries Pri-maries will hold their Spring Family Hour next Sunday. Mapleton Ma-pleton Third Ward meeting will start at 4:30 instead of the usual us-ual 3:45 Mapleton Second next; and Mapleton Third at 7:15. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Pugh and two daughters of Washington, Washing-ton, spent a day or two with Mr. and Mrs. Vance Gividen this week. Mr. Pugh was converted con-verted to the gospel by the Giv-iden's Giv-iden's son Burt, when they were in the armed services together. to-gether. Burt was recently made a high councilman in his stake at Riverside, California. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Nelson of Spanish Fork and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gividen visited with the Pughs at the Gividen home one evening while they were here. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Brinker-hoff Brinker-hoff are parents of a baby boy born April 29 at the Utah Valley Val-ley Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Don Corth and four children of Provo moved in to the Nellie Wiscombe home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bills went to California over the weekend. They made the trip to take a truck load of furniture for Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tuttle who are moving to Westminister. |
