Letters to the editor are welcomed, but must be concise, non-slanderous and must be signed by the writer. I am compelled at this time to write to those concerned regarding re-garding the hurt of a little 11 year old boy cut from a team in our city's Little League Program. I did not realize what it was doing to my little boy when they told me they were transferring him out of this ball club where he had been playing for two seasons. The reasons were explained to us, the parents, but how are you going to explain it to him and lessen the heartache any. We were told he would be on an independent league, which wasn't as yet organized. So for a week he has been left to brood and still hasn't been notified. no-tified. If this league had been organized, or-ganized, it would have seemed more like a transfer to the kids than a cut and he could have been playing and busy on a team, thus lessening the hurt. There should be a better way of doing it without hurting these boys. It is too late now to do anything any-thing about my boy, but I hope and pray in the future no other boy will be hurt as my boy has been hurt. The father of a broken hearted heart-ed boy, William W.
