Show Mapleton News M rs. Blake Everett Ernie Parkin, son of Mrs. Naomi Na-omi Parkin spent two weeks of December in a hospital in Vietnam, Viet-nam, where he is serving with the armed forces. According to his letters, he became overly anxious in doing some weight-lifting, weight-lifting, which caused a hernia. He has fully recovered and is back to his duties in an office near the war zone. Floyd Tuttle is in a Salt Lake hospital recuperating from back surgery. David Carnesecca son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Carnesecca, and John Williams son of Mr. and Mrs. Buss Williams, left by plane last week for Fort Lewis, Washington, where they will receive their basic training for the army reserve. Mr. and Mrs. Less Hansen spent the Christmas holidays in Burley, Idaho, with their son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hansen and their family. While they were there, they attended several open house : parties with the Hansens. Be- : fore returning home, they also ; visited iin Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Julius Reichert (Donna (Don-na Hansen) and family. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Nebel ' and daughter, Kim, of Medicine Medi-cine Bow, Wyoming, visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Johnson during the holidays. holi-days. The Nebel's son and wife Mr. and Mrs. Lon Nebel of Magna and a nother son, Jon Nebel who is attending school in Logan were also visitors. Dave Fullmer is receiving treatment for an illness in an Ogden hospital. Mapleton Second Ward Relief Re-lief Society has a new counselor counsel-or this month. Mrs. Beth Lar-sen Lar-sen will replace Merilyn Tuttle as work counselor. The other officers, Mrs. Joyce Whiting as president and Winona Davies as education counselor will remain re-main the same. Mrs. Tuttle has employment in an office in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Allen of Tuntsville spent Sunday afternoon after-noon with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stan-ley Williams and family. They attended fast meeting with the Williams' where Wendy Williams was confirmed a member of the church and the new baby was given the name of Gary Louis Williams.
