Karen Roylance, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Roylance, left Saturday by plane for Washington, D.C. for a few days visit before going to Munich, Mu-nich, Germany, to continue her education. She graduated from USU, Logan, and was employed employ-ed at the capitol in Washington, Washing-ton, D. C-, for some time before be-fore returning to Springville, where she has visited the past several months. Mr. and Mrs. Virg Bird came up from Mesa, Arizona, recently and after a short visit vis-it with a son, Roy H. Bird and wife and family, at their home here, went on to Salt Lake City, where they visited a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Allan ( Norma) Nor-ma) and family. From Salt Lake, they went to Seattle, Wash., where they visited another an-other daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Whiting, and from there they planned to go to San Diego, Calif., to visit a son, Morris H. Bird and wife and family before returning return-ing home. Several weeks previous pre-vious to going to the Northwest North-west and California, they had an enjoyable visit with another anoth-er son, Alan H. Bird and wife . and family, in Georgia. Mr. and Mrs. D. LaRell . Johnson were in Rexburg, Ida-: Ida-: ho, last week where they de-i de-i livered a large bronze seal to . Ricks College to be placed in . the new Jacob Spori Adminis- tration Building now under ; construction. The seal for , which Mr. Johnson made the pattern and assisted in its , casting shows a Viking ship on , the ocean and has the name i and place of the college and ) 1888, the year of its founding 1 by Mr. Spori. |
