Mayer are making a home in Logan Now making- their home in Logan, are recently married Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Mayer, May-er, who spent their honeymoon at Grand Canyon following a Manti Temple marriage and reception. re-ception. President A. B. Peterson Peter-son performed the ceremony. Mrs. Mayer is the former Miss Marilyn Ashcraft, daugh ter of Mr .and Mrs. Lloyd Ashcraft Ash-craft of this city and Mr. Mayers May-ers parents are Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mayer of Orem and the late Betty Sumner Mayer. Marilyn is a senior at USU, Logan and will continue her schooling while her husband is employed as an electrical engineer at Hill Air Force Base. The couple received their many guests at a reception in the Fourth Ward Cultural Hall. The bridal party stood in front of a white backdrop of beauty pleats, Grecian pillars, tangerine tanger-ine net and hanging baskets of talisman roses. The bride wore an exquisite gown of French lace and silk organza designed with fluffy bustle which fell into a short train. The fitted bodice was trimmed with pearls and sequins se-quins on the round neckline and the sleeves were long and pointed. From a crown of seed pearls, her full veil fell elbow-length. She carried a Carol Chadwick were at the guest register. Arranging gifts were Elva Ashcraft, Zora Hill and Carol Manwaring with Ronny and Jimmy Behrman and Kent and Gary Anderson as gift bearers. Serving were Susan Jensen, Carol Ann Kreth, Janine Far-rer, Far-rer, Barbara Clyde, Carolyn Hatch and Susan Hatch. Adding a note of beauty to the reception decor, was the 3-tiered wedding cake with frosted pillars and topped with frosted wedding riings and bells. The foyer of the hall featured fea-tured a decorative cherub and the serving tables were centered cen-tered with cherub vases of fall flowers and grapes. It it really so different now? Have the Rover Boys quieted down for good? Are the sidewalks side-walks all slick and cementy now no bricks, no board, no mud? Attending her as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Ge-niel Ge-niel A. Sly; Vickie H. Walker, Dianne Clyde, Karen G. Western Wes-tern and Luanna Hancey were bridesmaids. They wore gold and tangerine brocade gowns and held bouquets of white mums sprayed with gold and feathered carnations and tangerine tan-gerine ribbon streamers. Little Tracy Lynn Jacobsen and Blake Anderson gave "thank you" notes. Tracy dress and Blake's vest were of the same materials as that of the attendants. Ron Burr was best man to the groom. Others in the receiving line were parents of 'the couple, Mrs. Ashcraft wearing a biege brocade and Mrs. Mayer pale green crepe. Their corsages were of mums and feathered carnations.
