Show Letter to the editor Where are the snow coats? Editor's Note: Letters to the editor are welcomed wel-comed so long as they are concise, non-slanderous and signed by the writer. Views expressed ex-pressed by the writer are his own and do not necessarily reflect re-flect those of this newspaper. On Sept. 17, 8 o'clock at night at Carbon High School campus, I was getting ready to watch the game between Carbon and SHS Red Devils. It was quite cold, the snow had been removed from the field and placed along the side lines. After the pre-game warm-up, the team took its place on the benches at the side lines dressed dres-sed in nothing more than a light jersey and a number to keep them warm. Early in the second quarter the Pep Club filed out of the bleachers, crossed cros-sed the track and placed blankets blan-kets on the shoulders of the team. Our hats off to the Pep Club. Where were the coats that usually accompany players play-ers on such occasions? Isn't it disgusting to think that some men think we must charge the cheer leaders admission admis-sion to ball games? What next? For the record our cheerleaders cheer-leaders each receive $10 for uniforms. Two uniforms are needed each year and then if we go to state, another one is needed. $10 covers all this? Rex Wardle Are there still farmers with circus passes? and dogs getting get-ting left overs instead of dog-food? dog-food? And band concerts? And ice cream straight from thei freezer on the Fourth?
