Show Governor to speak at WLC meeting Governor Calvin L. Rampton will be the featured speaker at the opening meeting of the Women's Legislative Council of Utah County. He will speak on "Utah's Economic Status." This meeting will be open to the public and is scheduled for Thursday, October 7, at 9:30 a.m., in the Eldred Center, 270 West 500 North, Provo. The Women's Legislat iv e Council has as its object the consideration and study of civic subjects for the purpose of influencing and bringing to fruition beneficial legislation in the State of Utah. Its policy is non partisan and non-sectarian. At the beginning of the new biennium, newly-elected president presi-dent Mrs. Douglas C. Smith, extends a special invitation to all women's organizations to take advantage of the information informa-tion available to the Women's Council on pertinent legislative issues. Any women's organization organiza-tion with twenty or more members, or a fluctuating membership near twenty, interested in-terested in objectives of the Council, is entitled to three voting vo-ting delegates. Also, any woman wo-man who is a citizen of Utah and who represents no group or organization, but is interested inter-ested in the purpose for which the council exists may become a non-voting assomiate member. mem-ber.
