Madsen, former resident, dies on coast Funeral services were held Tuesday of this week, at Menlo Park, California, for Clark E. Madsen, 52, a former well-known well-known resident of Springville and son of Mrs. Parley C. Madsen Mad-sen of this city, who died of a heart attack, April 10, 1965, at a hospital in Menlo Park. At the time of his death, Mr. Madsen was serving as general manager of the Hills Dale Shopping Center. He was born Dec. 29, 1912, at Mt. Pleasant, a son of Parley Par-ley C. and Rosina Madsen. He spent his early life in Springville Spring-ville graduating from the Springville High School and later la-ter from BYU. He also graduated gradu-ated from Northwestern University Uni-versity in Chicago. Later he was employed 16 years with General Mills, stores division at Minneapolis, where he served serv-ed as comptroller, assistant to the president, operation control manager and area general manager. He later went to California with the David D. Bohannon organization of San Mateo, a company which worked for community and industrial in-dustrial development. He served two years in the U. S. Navy.
