Show " j to Alan Craig Shirley Luce Senior 'Student of the Week' Shirley Luce may be described des-cribed as a very busy student who has maintained an A average aver-age throughout her high school years. A daughter of Mrs. Doris Dor-is Bleak, 659 E. Aaron Ave., she plans to continue working full time through the summer and to enroll at BYU and work d part time. She hopes to major in business and be a secretary v or in English and be a teacher, r with a minor in music. She is v president of the Steno Club and ' has helped raise a goodly sum to help pay for two dictaphones. dicta-phones. She has sung in choruses chor-uses or choirs during the past six years in addition to enter- c tainlng at various out-of -school j programs. She is secretary of j the FHA and was recently voted the outstanding secretary secre-tary student at the high school and was honored by the area secretaries. She is yearbook year-book literary editor. She is a Seminary graduate and has received re-ceived five individual awards. She has been active in all music events and was a Sterling Ster-ling Scholar nominee in music. Alan Craig, son of Marshall R. and Ruth Haglund Craig, 611 South Canyon Drive, is also one of the outstanding students in the senior class this week with a 3.7 or A-grade A-grade average. His main interest inter-est outside of regular class work has been getting some fine pictures for the yearbook. He also enjoys wrestling. Being i a member of the honor roll, he : received a National Merit Let-l Let-l ter of Commendation. He has ; always taken active part in church work and has been i awarded his Duty to God l Award. He is an Eagle Scout ' and vice president of the Ex- plorers.
