Gabbi-tas Gabbi-tas of Springville. The young couple are making mak-ing their home in this city, following a few days wedding trip to southern Utah. The bride chose a gown of nylon organza for her wedding. It was trimmed with dainty lace daisies at the throat and on the sleeves. A chapel train caught at the shoulders, fell in deep folds to the floor. A pearl-studded flower, held her bouffant veil and she carried a bridal bouquet of pink roses nested in feathered white carnations. car-nations. She was attended by her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Clarence Norman, as matron of honor and Mrs. Gene Stulce, Katheryn Wride, Mikela McCoy and Carolyn Duke were bridesmaids. They wore pink floral afternoon frocks and matching bows in their hair and carried pink rosebud and white .carnation nosegays. Mike Gabbitas was best man and Mr .and Mrs. Stan Ford and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wride welcomed guests at the door. The bridal party stood before a background of spring flowers and the serving tables were prettily decorated with unique kissing balls holding ceramic bridal couples. Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Gabbitas were honored at a wedding reception recently in the Provo 13th Ward, following fol-lowing their marriage in the Manti Temple. The charming bride is the former Miss Kath- Club group enjoys tour of the art Professor Glen Rutner of the BYU art department conducted conduct-ed a tour of the art gallery for members of the Les Jolli Femme Club, Wednesday evening eve-ning of last week. After the tour, the group assembled as-sembled at the home of Mrs. Virgie Rose where refreshments refresh-ments were served. President Carma Dean was in charge of the meeting. Hafen-Dallin Club meets Stanley Burnigham, high school art curator, will conduct members of the Hafen-Dallin Art Club on a tour of the gallery gal-lery at their second meeting of the month this afternoon, beginning be-ginning at 4 p.m., at the art gallery. Mrs. W. W. Brock-bank, Brock-bank, vice president, will be in charge. The meeting last Thursday featured Professor Glen Turner in a talk on the exhibit. He discussed various pain tings centering his remarks mostly on water color entries in the show. He made numerous complimentary com-plimentary comment on the watercolors and noted among other things, that Utah artists are leaders in the nation in wa-tercolor wa-tercolor work. He said that an individual should enjoy a picture for what it is worth to them. |
