Show Auxiliary holds Christmas program Members of the Legion Auxiliary Aux-iliary gathered at Memorial Hall Wednesday evening- for the annual Christmas progTam. Approximately 45 members and guests were in attendance. After preliminaries, conducted conduc-ted by Manila Brown, the meeting was turned to Julia Sumsion and Margaret Campbell, Camp-bell, program chairmen. Featured during the evening were Mrs. Kurt Woller, a na- tive of Holland, who in delightful de-lightful manner, described how Christmas was observed in her native land. She also sang several sev-eral Christmas songs, two in her native language, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Sumsion. Also, Mrs. Carol Whipple, a professional profes-sional Japanese dancer and actress, living here while her husband attends BYTJ, entertained enter-tained with two dance numbers num-bers in typical costume. A report was made by Mrs. Floss Phillips on visits to the Youth Center at the State Hds-pital, Hds-pital, which is being taken by the Auxiliary as a project this year. Enough Christmas gifts to supply a boy and a girl at the Youth Center had been purchased and donated by the unit members and many other gifts and clothing items had also been donated for general distribution at the hospital, she reported. Welcomed as new members during the eveniing, were Mrs. Fron Thorn and Mrs. Rebecca Fullmer. At theclose of the program, refreshments, suggestive of the holidays, were served by hostesses host-esses Marva Davis, Melva Smith, Donna Harmer, Thelma Clark and Venice Beals.
