Jackson of 524 Easl Seventh So., also of this city have departed for duty witl the U.S. Seventh Fleet in tht Western Pacific aboard the at tack aircraft earned USE Ranger. Like most carriers in hei class, she carries between 9C and 100 airplanes, both propeller pro-peller and jet. Types of aircraft air-craft include fighter-interceptors, bombers and rescue planes Complete facilities for repaii and maintenance of the aircraft, air-craft, as well as all electronic gear and missile systems usee on the planes, are maintainec aboard the ship. She also carries car-ries over 5,000 tons of aviatior fuel as well as 7,000 tons ol fuel oil for her own power. During this, her fifth torn with the Seventh Fleet in the Far East, Ranger is schedulec to visit Hong Kong, Japan anc the Philippine Islands. |
