Show High school registration Atigyst 24; fees listed Springville High School enrollment en-rollment has increased to the point that it is no longer possible pos-sible to meet in the auditorium and the school's first assembly at 9 a.m., Monday August 31, will therefor be held in the gymnasium. A total of 733 students are expected to enroll in senior -high school this year. The auditorium seats 590. Registration The senior class students, according to announcement by Principal Omar Hansen are to register Monday, Aug. 24, from 7 to 11 a.m., and from 5 to 6 p.m. Juniors will register the same day, August 24, from 1 to 6 p.m. All sophomores are to be at an orientation assembly at 9 a.m., Tuesday, August 25. Fees Text book rental in the senior sen-ior high school will be $10; locker and towel fee, $1; ac- tivity fee, $6; insurance fee (optional) from $1 to $10; parking lot reservation, 50 cents (optional); football insurance in-surance $8. AH appointments for yearbook year-book pictures will be made and the pictures will be taken at Castleton's next week before school starts. This is to avoid taking school time for pictures, Principal Hansen pointed out. There will be a choice of lockers and picture appointments appoint-ments on a "first come, first served" basis. In the letters sent out this week to students, Principal Hansen also pointed out to sophomores that if they try real hard, they will be seniors. Junior high Seventh grade students are to register Monday, August 24, at 1 p.m. All are 'to meet in the auditorium for place-, ments and orientation. The 8th grade students will meet Tuesday, August 25, at times scheduled as follows: all whose surnames begin with A through F, at 9 a.m.; letter G, ! through L, 9:45 a.m.; M through R, 10:30 a.m., S through Z, at 11:15 a.m. Ninth grade students will meet Tuesday, August 25, as ' follows: all whose surnames begin with A through F, 1 p.m.; G through L, 1:45 p.m.; M through R, 2:30 p.m.; S ; through Z, 3:15 p.m. Locker partners should come together regardless of their names Mi-. Hanks said. Registration fees will be $4 each for 7th and 8th grades; $9 for 9th grades ,the extra $5 for the 9th, being for book rental. All students new to the Springville area, should report to the junior high school during dur-ing the week of August 17 to 21, between 9 a.m., and 3 p.m. Regular class work will begin be-gin Monday, August 31. |
