Show Star sho w set A :io-ininutc lilm titled "TIk- Birth and Death of a Star" will le shown every Friday and Saturday night in September Sep-tember at Southern Utah State College's A.shcroft observatory. Produced in 1971 by Bert Shapiro, the Time-l.ile Time-l.ile Film covers the theories behind stellar birth and the various stages that lead to the death of a star along with an explanation of the equipment and procedures used to develop the theory. Programs begin at 7 and 8::H p.m. and are Iree to the public according ac-cording to Merrell R. Jones, observatory director. "Weather permitting," Jones said, "observatory visitors will have an opportunity after the film to look at various eelestial objects through the college's 14-inch telescope." The Ashcroft Observatory Ob-servatory is located about one and one-half miles west of Cedar City on Utah-56, then another mile and a half south on West View Drive.
