Show s County statistics about average A final Utah state vital statistics report for 1930, recently released by the Utah Department of Health, shows Iron County to be just about average or below in most vital statistics categories when compared to other Utah counties. The report shows that births in the State occurred oc-curred at a rate of 28.3 per 1.000 population. The Iron County figure was 29.1 per 1,000. Statewide, the' death rate was 5.5 per thousand while in Iron County it was 5.8 per thousand. The natural population increase in Iron County, resulting from births and deaths, totaled 406 for the year. Iron County was somewhat below statewide figures for number of marriaees performed. The State averaged 11.5 per thousand and the County averaged 8.9. Though Iron County marriages were lower than State figures, its divorce rate was only 3.8 per thousand compared to a Utah rate of 5.3. . The infant mortality rate in Iron County included in-cluded six deaths among babies, live occurring between the ages of birth and 28 days and one between 28 days and one year. The statewide infant in-fant mortality rate totaled 435. Iron County's out-of-wedlock births totaled 16 for a 31.6 per thousand average; compared with a 62.3 Utah average.
