Show PUBLIC NOTICE The City of Milford reports re-ports that bacteriological standards have been exceeded exceed-ed in that 64 coliform bacteria were found in 14 samples analyzed by the State laboratory during the first quarter of 1981. As a result, the water supply failed to meet the criteria for bacteriological quality. Bacteriological sampling is performed on a weekly basis by the City of Mil-ford. Mil-ford. While coliform organisms or-ganisms themselves pose no threat to health, their presence pres-ence does indicate that a source of contamination might exist somewhere in the water system . Milford is allowed an average of no greater than 1 coliform per 100 milliliter milli-liter sample. Our average this quarter was 5 coliform per 100 milliliter sample. The City is continuing to check any sources that could cause contamination. THE CITY OF MILFORD ROY L. YOUNG, MAYOR ATTEST: Wendy L.
