Show TEST WELL TO BE DRILLED AT CEDAR CITY . A scheduled 5,200 foot test of the Pennsylvania forma-tlon forma-tlon Is to be drilled a mile and a half southwest of Cedar Ce-dar City according to Carlton Carl-ton Stowe, minerals specialist, special-ist, Utah Department of Natural Nat-ural Resources. CabotCor-poration CabotCor-poration of Denver will drill the oil and gas test at No. 1 Cedar City, more than 28 miles north of the Virgin field In Washington County. Mr. Stowe says that closest previous pre-vious drilling is a little more than two miles to the northwest, north-west, an 11,700 foot dry hole where a test below 7,100 feet recovered mud cut water. The company is expected to begin operations shortly. In other Utah activity, Mr. Stowe notes that A. Lans-dale, Lans-dale, Garden Grove, California Califor-nia will drill three exploratory explora-tory wells in eastern Utah's Grand County to depths be-low be-low 3,200 feet. They are about 2 miles northeast of parley Dome field and about lour miles south of the Bar-X Bar-X field to the northeast of C isco. Gulf Oil has announced announc-ed it will drill the No. 1 Lra,n Canyon- a scheduled schedul-ed 1,200 foot test well seven miles northwest of Coalville. Ptaevtew field is approxi- mately 18 miles to the east. |
